Clearly needed it :) Spent the remainder of the "morning" (ahem) supping fresh black coffee on the sofa, reading my delectable new Yotam Ottolenghi recipe book (purchased last time I was in London):
Freddie says CHILLAX
By the time it came round to eating, it was definitely more lunch than breakfast, but I embraced the whole "brunch" concept and really ran with it (despite my general distaste for portmanteaus..), to produce the following masterpiece.... (!)
"Brunch"
- Coconut protein power pancakes: 3 eggs, 1 scoop vanilla whey, coconut flour, cinnamon nutmeg, coconut oil, coconut milk, baking powder
- with warm raspberries coconut oil and Daylesford Organic Apple and Vanilla Puree (organic apple and vanilla only)
YIKES!
I cannot tell a lie. This was glorious. :)
Off to the cinema to watch On The Road. Didn't prepare a snack as quite honestly not required!
[NB my 1 word film review: unnecessary. And I'd prob recommend going with ppl who've read the book. (I didn't. Our post-movie discussion was somewhat stunted) That is, of course, if you've read it yourself. If not, I wouldn't bother with the movie at all actually]
Happily managed post-cinema drink at the Brude of soda water and lime (only).
Tea
The only TV program me + James are bothered about is Homeland. I mentioned it last week, and I'll probably mention it every week. If you haven't seen it, you're daft.
[Can't really summarise it in a gif. Otherwise I would have!]
Tea, as a consequence, was a rather manic affair.
This resulted in:
- 2 small fillets of wild sustainably caught Alaskan salmon, with fennel seeds, lime zest and lime juice in coconut oil;
- Creamed cauliflower (cauli, sea salt, pepper, coconut milk)
- Asparagus and spinach with coconut oil, seasoning and lime juice
That's right. I ate fish. Told you I was open to it.
Super-quick and super-delicious dessert:
- 1 large mango (proper ripe), with lime juice, lime zest and coconut milk
Beautiful.
:)
